Explore the Wissahickon with FOW

Sunday, February 1, 2015 - 2:00pm to 3:00pm

Friends of the Wissahickon "Regardless" hike with Bruce Wagner and Kris Soffa- meeting at the Cedars House off Northwestern Ave., regardless of the weather- the weather will only determine whether hikers go by foot or by skis or by snowshoes.  Bring water, energy, a snack and a camera-warm refreshments will await you upon return. Children 10 and over are welcome accompanied by a responsible adult. Register for this hike by emailing Bruce: bwagner@temple.edu before 8:45am the morning of the hike, which will only be cancelled if roads are closed.
FOW is a 1600-member non-profit founded in 1924 that works in partnership with Philadelphia Parks and Recreation to restore historical park structures, eliminate invasive plant species, monitor watershed management issues and restore trails throughout the Wissahickon Park.
